Services & approach

Sessions shaped around what you actually need.

I offer virtual psychotherapy across Ontario for children, youth, and adults. The work is integrative — meaning I draw on a few core approaches and weave them based on the person in front of me, not the other way around.

Who I work with

Children, youth, and adults.

Ages 6–12

Children

Younger clients usually need a different kind of room than adults do. Sessions often include play, drawing, story, and metaphor — ways of working with feelings that don't require having the right words first. Parents and caregivers are part of the work.

Ages 13–17

Youth

Teen sessions tend to move at the pace of trust. We make space for the questions that don't always have language yet — identity, family, friendships, school, the future. Confidentiality is held carefully and explained clearly.

18+

Adults

Adult work often involves the patterns we inherit, the parts of ourselves we've had to mute, and the lives we're trying to grow into. Culture, family, body, and story are all part of the room.

Modalities

How I actually work in the room.

I draw from several evidence-based approaches and weave them based on what you need — not the other way around. Here's a plain-language tour of what that can look like.

CBT

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Noticing the thoughts → feelings → behaviours loops that keep us stuck, and gently rewiring the ones that aren't serving you. Practical, present-focused work.

ACT

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

Less about fighting difficult feelings and more about making room for them — while taking steps toward what actually matters to you.

PCT

Person-Centered Therapy

You are the expert on your life. My job is to be fully present, non-judgmental, and genuine — so you can hear your own voice more clearly.

MIND

Mindfulness

Bringing attention back to the body and the present moment — not as a performance, but as a way of noticing what's actually here.

Integrative elements

What I sometimes weave in.

Beyond the core approaches above, I draw on a few other elements when they fit what someone needs.

DBT-informed skills

Concrete tools for emotion regulation and distress tolerance, useful when feelings arrive at ten out of ten and you need something practical for the moment.

Creative expression

Drawing, writing, collage, metaphor — especially useful with kids, teens, or anyone whose experience lives beyond easy words.

Gentle, optional movement

Our bodies carry stories that our minds can't always tell. Sometimes the work asks for stillness; sometimes it asks for something else.

These aren't the foundation of how I work — they're elements I weave in when they're useful. We always go at the pace of what feels right for you.

Common questions

A few things people often ask.

How often will we meet?

Most often, weekly or every other week to start. Cadence is something we figure out together based on what you need and what's sustainable. Some clients drop to less frequent meetings as the work progresses.

How long does therapy take?

There isn't one answer. Some clients come for a specific situation and finish in six to twelve sessions. Others work over a longer arc. We talk about pace and direction together, and you decide when you're done.

Do you offer in-person sessions?

Not at this time. Practice is fully virtual — secure video sessions delivered through Jane App. If in-person care would serve you better, please mention it during the consult; we can talk through what to look for.

Curious whether this is the right room for you?

A free 15-minute consult is the easiest way to find out. No commitment, no pressure — just a conversation.
