Online psychotherapy in Ontario

Therapy that holds all of who you are.

Warm, culturally grounded sessions for children, youth, and adults — delivered virtually across Ontario. A space where your story, your languages, and your lineage are welcomed.

I'm Vaveena — a Sri Lankan-born Tamil Canadian Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I work with children, youth, and adults across Ontario in warm, virtual sessions that make space for the fullness of your story.

What Yathra means

The journey, and the one who walks beside you.

Yathra (யாத்ரா) is Tamil and Sanskrit for journey. It carries the sense of a path taken with purpose — pilgrimage, passage, a moving forward that keeps faith with where you came from.

Therapy here borrows that frame. Your story has a direction, even when it doesn't feel like it. My role is to walk a part of that path with you — listening for what you carry, what you've outgrown, and what wants to come next.

Who I work with

Three life stages, one shared practice.

Ages 6–12

Children

Play-based and creative sessions that help younger clients name what they feel, with parents and caregivers held close to the work.

Ages 13–17

Youth

A space for the questions that don't always have language yet — identity, family, friendships, school, the future.

18+

Adults

Working with the patterns we inherit and the ones we build — across culture, relationships, grief, and what it means to live a meaningful life.

The first step is the hardest. You don't have to take it alone.

A free 15-minute consult is a low-pressure way to ask questions and see whether the fit feels right.
